I'm sure there's been a few threads but I have a question. My mom's friend got me an infant bouncer that wasn't on my registry but she didn't include the gift receipt. (D'oh!) I don't really need the infant bouncer because my cousin bought me an infant-to-toddler rocker/bouncer already.
My question is: How do I return an item back to Target that wasn't on my registry and without a receipt? I know I'm going to get store credit which is fine but I've been hearing the horror stories about Target lately...I just don't want them to give me any crap about it. Any help would be appreciated, thanks. ![]()
Re: Returning an item to Target?
I would do this. I returned something off of my registry with a receipt but when I was doing it the customer service rep gave me an FYI that if I needed to return anything without a reciept to make sure it was on my registry or else I wouldn't be able to return it.
This is exactly what I did!
I had to return some stuff yesterday that was not on my registry...
I did not have a limit on how many returns I could make.
They told me to print off a PURCHASE LOG from my registry. I believe their policy is that they will return for store credit as long as you have a registry there.
So when you get there go to the registry kiosk and print your Purchase log from your registry... I did not have receipts and some of the stuff I did not register for!!! I also did not have to show my drivers license!!! It was a very easy return for me!!! Good luck!!!
Thanks ladies! I will add the item to my registry and take it from there. The less hassle the happier I will be! I'm hoping to get the store credit so I use it towards a changing table.
Again, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
