DH is in DEEP doo doo....

So it's 3am and I've been tossing & turning in bed for the last hour. I get frustrated & decide it's time to head downstairs, grab the last of my FAVORITE chocolate donuts and hang out on the couch for a bit. I open the pantry to find the last of my donuts missing...donut box in the trash. Pretty sure the culprit is DH & he must have eaten MY donut when I crashed on the couch earlier in the evening (probably why I can't flippin' get to sleep now!) He's going to face a world of hurt when he wakes up in the morning, little does he know, he'll be making a trip to the store at the crack of dawn for me or else he'll have a crazy pg. lady to deal with....grrr!

  • I started hiding emergency chocolate after experiencing this situation.  Sorry about your donut - I know how hard that is!

  • Oh hell to the no.... that's wrong! He better haul it over there & get you some more. I write "No Boys Allowed" on all the food that might start a fight if its missing lol but it works! Good luck....

  • Seriously??? There are some days when I'm glad DH lives 2 states away! But we went through a similar situation with ice cream in our first year of marriage when I had to explain to him that if we bought a box of 6 ice cream bars I expected to be able to eat 3 of them at some point, and shouldn't have to give up that right just because he's a pig and eats all 3 of his right when he gets home from the store. I admited the other day to occasionally eating the whole box and then buying a new box at the store before I could notice, so it is possible to train them... :) Good Luck and hopefully there's something else in the house to tide you over until he goes on his pre-dawn store run!

Good call! I may need to start marking my territory!

This.  I relearned what happens when I don't hide my special treats: I had baked some cookies the other day and the stupid package (premade) only made 8 flipping cookies, what a rip off.  So I was rationing them out, we each had 2 that night.  Then 2 the next day but I guess DH didn't have any, they didn't go with his beer, LOL.  Anyway come down to just two left over, I put them in the microwave to eat them and DH asks takes one.  I flew into a huge fit telling him to just take the other one because just one is a let down, it just starts your appetite whereas two fulfills it.  He thought I was nuts...I still want my cookies.  I should have known better and hidden them at least until he was in a different room.  I feel your pain!  It sucks when you get excited looking forward to a treat and then some RAT got there first LOL.
