Until 15th December, at least, so 41+1.
My mum will be here until the 21st, so that's the latest we felt comfortable scheduling an e/c/s - I'd come home probably the 18th, have 2-3 days of her helping (which isn't much, but still...)
Anyway, up until that time, I'm allowed a trial of labour/vbac.
Now it's time to get out the birthing ball to try and keep her in a good position. What else ought I be doing?
Re: full steam ahead for a vbac
Here are the things I plan on doing starting at 36 weeks (I'm 24 weeks so who knows).
1. Acupuncture/Acupressure w/ acupuncturist who specializes in inducing labor.
2. Raspberry Red Leaf Tea - 34 weeks and on
3. Exercise and lots of it
4. Visualizing successful labor and body functioning
5. Sex
6. Stairs and jumping jacks
No advice for you. If I knew, I would have done it the first time (ended up with induction at 42 weeks 1 day).
Good luck though. I hope it all works out for you!!!
Check out www.spinningbabies.com for tips on keeping baby in a good position. I think even basic pelvic tilts can help encourage baby to be head down and anterior position.
The only thing I've tried/considered that pp didn't mention is evening primrose oil.
sending labor vibes your way - I hope you have a beautiful birth!!
I took evening primrose oil too - orally and vaginally.
No way of knowing if it worked, but I did have a vbac at 41wk2d, they day before my c/s was scheduled.
