We were very quite about it with jack. We are Trying for #2 and a lady at work asked so I told her. Big mistake! All day she was giving me reasons why it would be awful to have 2u2.

HELL NO! Only to my close friends. After having 2 m/c I keep it secret until after the first tri. I dont want to be asked about it all the time especially if I just went through a traumatic experience.
My mom brings it up any time she can how hard 2u2 would be, how kids would always fight, etc.
My niece is 21 months old, and every time I'm hanging out with her and we have her and C together, she says, "this is SO hard, idk how you could want kids this close together"
I've had to say to them point-blank: "Stop trying to talk me out of it! I have my reasons, and I'll get pregnant when I get pregnant." It's a non-issue right now because I don't even have a period yet.
Just keep it to yourself and try and change the subject if she brings it up.

We didn't tell a soul that we were trying. People were so surprised when we announced my pregnancy... a lot of them asked if it was an accident! We had been married for nearly 5 years so I guess people just thought we weren't the kid-having type of couple.

With DD, it happened so quickly that we never had the chance to tell people we were TTC (though we wouldn't have anyway). I told my mom that we were thinking of starting TTC in January, but that it wasn't set in stone (though it kinda is). But we're not going to tell anyone else when we actually do start TTC and I'm not going out of my way to "remind' my mom, either.

We didn't make it public knowledge to anyone that we were ttc with DD. But then again we didn't expect to get pg as quickly as it happened. I don't think we will tell anyone when we are ready for #2.
Re: Did you tell people if you were ttc?
Nope I don't know why but telling people we were "ttc" felt like saying yeah we have been boneing a ton without a condom lately... lol

NO! For me, it's a private thing.
I wouldn't want people asking me about it either. When we first found/find out, I didn't/don't want to tell people right away.
