Can you talk me through it? DH and I are looking for ways to cut costs and we've been talking for ages about switching Tegan to cloth diapers. Now that she's getting older and needs fewer diaper changes, it may just be the perfect time to make the switch. What do I need to know....?? Links, prices, good places to buy, would all be awesome, thanks!!
Re: Alright ladies: I'm thinking of switching to CDs...
DO IT!
check out jilliansdrawers.com. They have a sample package that lets you try all the different kinds of diapers and see what works for you.
We use prefolds with a cover, which is NOT for everyone, but it works really well for us.
I absolutely love Kawaii diapers. www.theluvyourbaby.com is where you can get them. I use the Heavy Duty AIO and they're the best. Great quality and no leaks.
I wash them every 2-3 days with a splash of white vinegar and Tide powder.
Simple is the best way to go, imo. I love my simple system.
This. And I have heard good things about the jilliansdrawers trial.

Do the trial! Not every type/brand of cloth diaper is for everyone, so I diaper trial is a great way to start! We use gdiapers, bumgenius 4 (which is a pocket), flip, and blueberry (another pocket). Our favorite is gdiapers (with cloth) for during the day (flip is a close second for daily use) and bun genius 4's for night time.
Cloth diapering is kind of addictive.
Definitely try out different things. We use gdiapers and flips, and love them! So easy, and I like that they also have disposable inserts for when we need them.
ETA: I got them at Baby Earth
OMG! Tzu, can I have your "I love my computer" cartoon? Please, please, please...
