Last minute christening gift ideas?

DH got asked to be the Godfather for our friends daughter, but they planned it last minute & the ceremony is this weekend. All I can think of is something personalized from Things Remembered (since it won't need to be shipped), plus a savings bond. For Christmas we already planned to get her some clothes & a toy. 

Are there any other ideas I'm missing? What did your LO's get as gifts for their Christening or other religious ceremony?

BFP 8/1/10, missed m/c, D&C 9/15/10.
BFP 1/8/11, chemical pregnancy.
BFP 3/4/11, measured behind all along, no more HB 4/18/11. D&C 4/29/11. HCG didn't drop, Repeat D&C 6/17/11; confirmed molar pregnancy 6/23/11.
Forced break, including two Hysteroscopies in October to remove retained tissue.
BFP 12/29/11! Betas @ 10 dpo = 85, 14 dpo= 498, 22 dpo = 7242
Heard HB 1/24/12. 144 bpm!

    Considering your DH is the Godfather, I'd do the savings bond and perhaps a picture frame or rosary beads (if it's a catholic ceremony).

    DD's Godparents bought her a really pretty cross necklace that she will definitely be able to wear throughout her life (if she chooses).  Also, they got her a little silver piggy bank with her name and christening date on it.

    I would do a nice Bible with her name engraved/embossed on it.

    A cross is tradition in my family for god parents to buy

    My mom started a really nice tradition with my cousin. She got her a necklace with 3 pearls on it (father, son, holy ghost) for her christening. Then, she got her 3 more pearls every year on the anniversary of her christening. Now, my cousin is an adult and she has a full strand - I think that's a really lovely way to stay connected with a goddaughter.
