Uterus infection anyone? 5 months PP from c-section

2nd trip to OB for pain and they think it is an infection of the uterus. She gave me 2 antibotics (Cipro and Flagyl) and wants me back in 10 days. If that doesn't help they are going to test me for Adenomyosis????? Has anyone ever had this happen? Was it after a c/s? Did the antibotics work? She made her dx by doing an internal and pressing on the uterus which was extremely tender and painful. I am so tired of the pain and feeling like I just had a c/c 3 weeks ago vs 5.5 months ago.

    I think Krismcbunny (or whatever) was just diagnosed with adenomyosis.

    I hope they get it figured out soon!

    Yep, I'm on my 4th dose of antibiotics for it.  Mine seems to be from retained placental tissue which I had a D&C for a few weeks ago, I can't seem to get rid of it.  The pathology from the D&C also said suspected Adenomyosis.  My ob told me there was no way to test for it, the only way to confirm it is by disecting the uterus.  He said if I begin having pain (which I don't now) that the treatments are Lupron to put you into a reversable menopause or hysterectomy.  I've had 2 c/s but my ob said women who have never had a c/s also get it.
