Doctor appt. update

I had an appointment with my OB today who specializes in infertility and am feeling a little overwhelmed. We've been actively TTC for 6 months and I am not sure if I am ovulating, so I figured she would just tell me to keep charting and maybe order some labs. She ordered the labs, but also ordered an ultrasound and an edometrial biopsy (ouch!) done within the next week or so. Then she talked about starting me on Clomid after she ran the tests. It sort of feels like too much too soon, if that makes sense. Don't get me wrong, hubbs and I want to get pregnant more than anything right now. I guess I just went in expecting one thing and came out with another.

    Sounds like she is being very proactive in finding out what's going on.  Since you guys are more than ready, then I take it as a good thing.  Of course, if you don't feel comfortable with everything she's ordering or feel rushed I'm sure you could tell her you want to wait a little bit on some of the things.

    I know is overwhelming too many things and too much information, but don't stress too much; sounds like you are on the right path and sounds like your doctor is amazing and proactive. I just started taking Clomid this month so if you have any questions let me know.

    I kind of know what you mean. Earlier this year I went in for a doc appt. and thought maybe I'd get an ultrasound, but was surprised when my doc suggested scheduling surgery as well. Turns out it was a good thing she did. Yay for proactive doctors!

    Like Shannon said though, if you feel like it's a little too much at this point you can always hold off on some of the tests. Good luck with everything!
