WWYD - Re: Picking DS's room in our new house

This is probably better suited for the toddler boards... but I will start here...

We have 2 options in the house we just bought... one is significantly smaller than the other. Obviously if I was still pg or he was a newborn I would easily say the smaller because it's still plenty big for a nursery. Now I find myself looking into the future though. Should I pick the bigger of the 2 so he play in it? If you have an older LO do they actually play in their room or somewhere else in the house?

The second room will be used for a guest room.

  • I'd pick the bigger one.

  • I'd pick the larger one unless you are willing to make the guest room a play room as well.  My DS doesn't play in his room because he has a play room.

  • We have a great big room downstairs that we are carpeting to be a playroom/TV room. The rest of the house is hardwoods.

    Hmmmmm..... still undecided.

  • We were in the same boat and gave our son the biggest room.  We figured that he's the one living at our house full-time, and he will eventually grow into it.  Guests don't need that much space when they're only staying for a few days at a time.  Our son doesn't really play in his room that much yet, but I know he will as he gets older and we can incorporate more big kid toys (e.g. art desk, easel, fort, building sets, etc.)

I adore your son's rolls.  OMG!!
