I am not sure how they serve it at Subway, do they heat it in front of you, or is it pre-made? It is it premade I think that would be more questionable.
bacon usually has nitrates in it, similar to hot dogs and sausages. That said, I've had it a few times during this pg on a salad and on top of a soup. it was delicious, cooked thoroughly and I want more.

Eat it, it will be fine. Ask them to heat it if they don't - it will make you feel better.
As for the nitrates, etc.Eating a BLT once a week, or less, is not going to impact your health or the baby's health. The air you breathe everyday is likely worse for you than eating bacon once a week or so. Unless you are eating a pound a day, I wouldn't think twice about it.

This too. I asked my dr. about nitrates once and he told me, "A hundred years ago all pregnant women ate was canned, dried meat and sausage type things and their kids were fine." He then cited some nitrate study that basically had people eating a godawful amount of sausages, hotdogs, bacon etc. Of course they're going to get sick!
The ONLY place my OB said to not go to was Subway (I don't eat there anyway) but I found it strange that they specifically said that. If you want a BLT, why not play it safe and make it at home? I for sure eat fresh sliced deli meat, hot dogs, etc. But I'm staying away from Subway and places like it.

Awe crap. Now all I can think about is a BLT! LOL!
But to answer your question, I think a BLT from Subway would be fine as long as you get it heated. Any lunch meat is fine as long as it is heated first, which kills the bacteria.
i have 3 HEALTHY BOYS! i ALWAYS ate cold lunch meat. They just recently decided it wasn't ok? Makes no sense to me! My dr has never told me it wasnt ok to eat lunch me cold. But if you are worried about it. You should just have them heat it up for you and it should be just fine!
I believe that places like Quiznos and Potbelly were invented for pregnant women. They toast the sandwiches, thus heating up the meat. Just ask them to throw it in the toaster at Subway, it'll be alright.
I wish there was a Wawa near where I lived, I have wanted a hot dog from that place ever since I found out I was pregnant.

the biggest fear with deli meat is listeria. If bacon is hot then the listeria would be killed.
doesnt affect the nitrates though. There arent studies that these affect fetuses, only infants.
Just eat it and enjoy it!
It'll be delicious and you'll all be fine.
This! Yummy!!

Most things once in awhile are entirely fine.
