Finally got our first Synagis!

So glad we finally got our first synagis but I hate when LO has to get a shot, it just breaks my heart! I'm sure most of your are getting your 2nd dose by now. Do you all know the cost of each shot? I was shocked.

    I was told the shot is $1500 each round  - yikes!

    ummm did you get rid of your pics or is the bump acting up?

     Thanks! I hope no probs too :( what has happened? They made us stay 10 mins to make sure no reaction. 

    I was told(by the pharmacy) the shots were $4000 each!!! I couldn't believe it. 

    I did. I'll be back in a few days in disguise lol

    That's great that you got it!  We just got our first one 2 weeks ago.  No bad reaction, but he cried way more than he does for the regular vaccines when they stuck him :(

    My insurance wouldn't cover the shots and they wanted $2200 for it (apparently it's weight based and the more LO weighs the more it costs).  So we filed it through DH's insurance and they approved us.  Guess how much they want for each shot?  $30.  Price difference is ridiculous.

    My baby got his first shot this past Monday.  He cried, but he got over it.  We have shots scheduled for December, January, February and March.

Brown spotting, Beta 3735 11/25/09, Beta 5602 11/28/09. Anticardiolipin Antibodies now negative, still on baby asprin. On 100 mg of Prometrium (progesterone) until 10 weeks. Good heartbeat at 1st appt. 12/16/09. Started taking fish oil. Perigestational hemorrhage and red bleeding 12/17/09. 2nd Ultrasound-8 weeks, still a heartbeat 12/17/09. Baby measured 9 weeks, still a heartbeat 12/23/09. Good NT Scan on 1/8/10, heartbeat 164. EDD 7/28/10. TEAM BLUE! Aidan Thomas born on May 26, 2010. Baby #2, BFP 11/27/11, EDD 6/5/12. TEAM PINK! Noelle Elizabeth born 4/30/12. Blessing from God, Blessing from God, Blessing from God, Blessing from God.

    We just back from getting our first shot and other than crying a bit after the shot he's been ok. I'd be interested to hear the possible reactions to look out for. Hopefully he won't react but just in case.

    Lauren got her 1st shot today.  Kate was "denied coverage" for it.  I have appealed her case 2 times.... will appeal it a 3rd time....since the girls live together/are same age, etc.... I want them both to have the vaccine.

    The "bill" for ours was $2433.36.  It was covered for Lauren ....not for Kate. Sad

    wish I invented synagis..... I'd own my own island.... Wink
