I am trying to figure out what is the best way to store pumped milk in the freezer without having to buy the breastmilk freezer bags (I'm cheap). I thought when I took the BF'ing class at the hospital the lady said we could use Ziploc Freezer bags to store the milk in but I haven't found anything online to confirm that. I also read that you could freeze milk in an ice cube tray but when you do that how are you keeping track of when the milk was pumped? What freezer storage methods are you using and how are they working for you?
TIA
Re: Newbie with a storage question
I use storage bags and then separate by month into a large ziploc bag. However, using Ziploc bags do sound familiar but I think they may not have the same expiration time as actual BM bags.

I was told that you can combine fresh milk with refridge milk from the same day if the fresh milk is less oz than the cold milk (hopefully that makes sense)
