Just curious if anyone has tried their breastmilk. I still haven't tried it and my son is 4 1/2 months old. One of these days I'll be brave enough to try it.

Yes, very sweet. My husband completely refuses to try it and now I make a game out of jokingly telling him I used breastmilk instead of cream in his coffee.
I haven't but my husband has. He said it tastes like the milk at the bottom of a cereal bowl after eating a kid's cereal. After smelling formula, I can't blame some babies for refusing formula after only having breastmilk.
Yes I have. It's not like I drank it, but dipped my finger in a bottle and tasted it. I don't see the big deal really, it is completely natural, and if I'm willing to give it to my baby I should be willing to at least taste it in my opinion.
Yup, I try everything that goes in LOs mouth. I just did a pinky taste of each, fresh and frozen/thawed. Like all other PP's the fresh is sweetend the frozen was too but did have a little of the expected soapy taste too.
My DH has. I only tried it when I mixed it with her oatmeal cereal, that didn't taste bad. I never really thought to taste it before that since I'm a SAHM and really never pumped until cereal.

I tried just dipping the tip of my finger in it back when I was pumping. DS is straight formula and rice cereal now (I couldn't keep up).
I asked DH if hed try it back then, and he said no way because that's gross. He is very curious to try DS's formula, though. Formula but you wouldn't taste my breastmilk?

I tried a bit of her oatmeal mixed with it, but not straight up breastmilk. I probably will at some point though--I try all of her purees before I feed them to her.
Re: Have you tried your breastmilk?
I never did. My sister tasted hers and said it tasted like vanilla milk.
Ewwww....
Something about it just gives me the heebie-jeebies...

Yes, I have. I was very curious of the taste. It was way sweeter than I had imagined.
Now I constantly taste any milk that I take out of the freezer and thaw for her to drink. I am superparanoid that it's gone bad.

This.

So we have no issues drinking milk made by a cow for a baby cow but won't drink milk made specially for humans? :-)
Yep, I've tried it. But DH refuses :-) I too joke about how I use it in his coffee and tea!
Yes I have and so has MH.
I don't see why it's gross.

That is funny!
I tried it a couple of days after he was born. It's very sweet.
It's odd that so many of you think this is gross.
