naptime: crafts or cleaning?

Crafts are more fun but our house really needs to be cleaned! I think I'm going to spend an hour crafting and then if there's extra time clean :)

What do you do during naptime? do you use it as "you" time or do you do stuff for the house/household?

Oh and I'm charging my camera battery now so hopefully I can get some FB pics up of my recent crafting which is plenty of felt food!

Re: naptime: crafts or cleaning?

  • SS option - sleep!

Naptime for baby means he's sleeping on one of us, so it's usually time to catch up on Tivo or take a nap with him.

  • It's about a 50/50. Sometimes I will have lunch because it's nice to have an uninterrupted (and warm!) meal, but usually, there's always so much to do that I end up feeling guilty for having "me" time and will work on chores while she's sleeping.

P.S. I want to see the felt food :P

  • The first nap I nap too. It's wonderful! The second and third (if there is a third) I try to have a little me time and then do chores. I can't get anything done while hanging out with Ryan. He will let me wear him but he will scream if I fold laundry or do dishes. Little man already hates chores!
  • I'm incapable of napping during the day (seriously - unless I'm REALLY sick, I simply cannot fall asleep during the day), so I use it for a combination. I generally clean for the first nap time, which is often a bit longer and a bit more dependable than the second nap time. Then during the second nap - which is the one that they tend to wake up more and be fussier for - I'll use it as me time...checking email, retouching photos, reading a book, etc.
