I had a DISGUSTING zit today so I used a q-tip to apply some 'cream' and didn't realize that I applied exfoliating wash - darn Pro Activ bottles all looking the same.

When I finally noticed it I thought of you.

    I will say as I started to read this I didnt know where this was going and why a disgusting zit made you think of me. If you could have only seen my face as I started to read.

    First thing that came into my head was. Did I post a pic of me with a zit lol. I told my DH to read the botthe when he came home yesterday. He didnt care. He asked me how my face was.

    stoooooooooop using proactive!!

    it will cause premature aging/brown spots.... it did to me, and a girl i know, it SUCKS

    (what cleared up my skin was using BabyFace from lush cosmetics... of course now im all zitty due to stress, but for the past year babyface has made my skin the clearest it has EVER been)

    How exactly do you know that benzoyl peroxide causes premature age spots?  I am curious.

    Personal outcome?  I don't have scientific evidence or anything.

    I used it for a few months before my wedding... I always had teenager skin, looked younger than I am, and acne (NO brown spots to be seen)

    I stopped using proactiv because it wasnt helping that much, and early the following year (3-4 months after my wedding), i started noticing the brown spots... i have them on my upper cheeks, just before the skin thins below my eyes, and a bit out toward my hairline.  I never made the proactiv connection until last summer i was photographing a woman i know, and she asked me if i would photoshop out her brown spots.  I said yea, i started getting those recently.. sucks, etc

     She said yep, mine started just after i used proactiv - THEN i made the connection with mine.  I've googled it, and other people have had the same issue.
