(NIFR) Boston area girls come on in!

We're going to Boston next Thursday and will be there until the 30th. Does Plymouth do anything fun the day AFTER Thanksgiving? We probably won't be able to make it down there until then. Also, do you know of any other fun events going on next weekend? TIA!!!

  • Welcome to Boston (early)!!!! Plymouth is actually having the 15th Annual Thanksgiving Celebration this weekend - bummer you won't be here! I looked online and don't see anything lined up but it could just be me and my google search. I am going to the parade so I will keep my eyes and ears open for you!

In Boston there is tons to do so if you need any suggestions let me know!

We could always plan an impromtu IF GTG Geeked

  • Thanks! That would be nice:) We don't really have any solid plans while we're there so it'd be nice to meet up for lunch/drinks, etc. Let me know what your schedule looks like.

  • Hey-

I can't help you out with Plymouth, but I'm really into the restaurants up here.  Where are you staying? I'll try to think of fun things in that area.

You can PM me if you want some restaurant suggestions.

  • Crap! I can't remember the name of the hotel. I know we're staying in the financial district this time, thanks!

  • We LOVE seafood and are really open to anything. So far, our favorite Boston places are:

Legal's: I know it's like the McDonald's of seafood up there but the crab legs I had there last year were the best EVER, plus their clam chowder is really good

Beantown Pub: BEST FRENCH FRIES IN THE WORLD and their sandwiches are awesome, especially the Mother Goose

Union Oyster House: Great clam chowder and corn bread

Durgin Park: We're going here for Thanksgiving dinner, their Indian pudding is the best!

    I've heard Skipjack's is good too...is it?

  • What about the tree lightings and such downtown? I love this time of year in my city! I still do the touristy things like Fanueil Hall and the Common during the holidays. Makes me happy!

  • Oh that sounds great! We've only ever been there in the summer so we're really looking forward to seeing it this time of year!

  • If you like seafood, you should definitely go to B&G Oyster in the South End of Boston.  The owner is one of the top (if not THE top) chefs in Boston.  It has unbelievable seafood and an amazing wine list.  The servers are all wine experts and they are so nice and cool.  They are not snobby and will help you choose wine that you like even if you know nothing about wine.

The South End is really hip and has a lot of cool restaurants.

I can't make it clicky on a mac, but here is the website

Also,  Aquitaine in the South End has an unbelievable brunch.

I have to run, but I'll keep thinking about places near the financial district as well. . .
