Hey everyone! In a few short weeks, I will be joining you guys here. I can't get over how fast this first year went. Anyway, just wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a forward facing car seat. Which did you choose and why? Also, did you get one that converts to the booster or will you buy a seperate booster? TIA!

Your child should not turn forward facing. Children should rear face a minimum of 2 years, but 4 years + is best.
This is something I typed up a long time ago, but it's mostly accurate still (the only things that may have changed are weight limits).

Watch that before you make your decision.
We have the Britax Boulevard which rear faces up to 35lbs. When he outgrows that seat we will be purchasing a Sunshine Kids Radian so he can RF even longer.
Wait... were you asking opinions on rear/forward facing? Or recommendations on carseats? I thought carseats and in that case, we have the Evenflo Triumph Advance and love it.
I just want to say I had no idea about ERFing. I would've turned H forward at a year if I hadn't gotten on the Bump. Maybe she doesn't know and if she did she would keep her DD rear facing...maybe not, but there is nothing wrong with giving her the SAFEST and most UP TO DATE data.

Both kids started off in a Britax Roundabout(the older version that doesn't exist anymore). DS just turned 3 and we just turned him around. We needed the other Roundabout for DD so we got him a Graco Nautilus(only FF) and we love it so far.
RF is best though. I think it's best to get a convertible so you can keep your child RFing for as long as possible. The Nautilus is nice though for FF since it has a 5 point harness up to 65lbs and then turns into a booster for up to 100lbs. We won't have to buy another seat for DS now.

Our boys are still rear-facing in their First Years True Fit convertible seats. It's a great seat that rear-faces up to 35 lbs and forward-faces to 65 lbs. We got ours for $150 on Amazon.
PP, that's good to know about the Nautilus. I'd been thinking about those for if we get a second set of seats for DH's car this summer.
