When did you tell people?

I am sure this post shows up alot on here but when did you tell your parents and immediate family you were pregnant? How about friends or co-workers?

I am only 4 1/2 weeks pregnant and my doctor said he doesn't need to see me until the week after christmas because I have already had 2 pos pregnancy tests. He said if I was nervous about something or wanted to verify that I really was pregnant I could come in for the blood draw but he didn't find it totally neccessary. So since I won't know until see the doctor until after Christmas I was wondering when a good time to tell people would be. By the ways, I suck at keeping secrets. It seems now that I am pregnant everything I read or people talk about it babies or pregnancy and I just want to blurt out that we are expecting!!!

    We told our parents as soon as we found out. We plan on telling the rest of our families an close friends at Thanksgiving. This was quite the debate though. The DH didn't want to say a peep until the first trimester was done but I convinced him that this is a joyful thing and even if (and big fat if) something terrible happens, we would want our family and friends to support us and now have to explain over and over again. So...I win!

    we told family and friends just recently around 8 weeks. It's too hard to keep the secret at our big family thanksgiving.

    I have told two of my friends. One I work with and just couldn't keep it in and the other is my best friend for over 20 years.

    I really want to tell my gma and dad before telling other friends, I can easily text my friends after our first u/s, but I want to tell my immediate family in person.  I think before Jan 1 fam and friends will know.  I will hold off until late Jan/Feb to tell my supervisor.

    We told our parents and siblings after I got a BFP but we want to wait until I go to the doctor to tell anyone else.  Although 2 of my coworkers guessed already - with my DD I was really fiesty throughout my pregnancy and I guess I started that up again already. lol!

    We told close family and friends right after I missed my period and then I started telling more people after my first ultrasound. I was able to see the baby and a heart beat and after that it was really hard to keep it a secret!!!

     But i am def not going to announce it on facebook until I am in my second trimester. After that i feel like everyone can know.

    We told everyone pretty much on the same day - 6 days after the first pregnancy test @ about 3.5 weeks.  Family first, then I emailed work to set up meetings as necessary and then I flew it up on facebook.

    We haven't told anyone. We're telling our families on Thanksgiving and we will be almost 13 weeks then. It's been fun keeping it a secret, but hiding the symptoms has been really hard!

    I'm 12w and I told my best friend at 5 weeks due to having terrible m/s and needing a shoulder (a female one!) to cry on.  Otherwise, my DH and I decided to wait until after the first trimester.  I just told my sister on Monday and my parents last night.  We are telling the rest of the families and friends on Thanksgiving.  It's been tough waiting, but worth it in my opinion.  It gave us a chance for it to really sink in and to get adjusted to the idea that we are going to have this little person to take care of.  It's been sort of nice having our little secret!  To each his own though! =)

    The day I got my BFP (I was before 4 weeks), I told my sisters who in turn told my mother (It was ok by me). I also told 3 friends. 

    I'll tell my job when I start showing.. lol

    One of my DH's friends found out right before 8 weeks because they were visiting the house and my husband left out a parenting pamphlet.  After our 8 wk ultrasound I told one friend.  We will tell my DH's family on Thanksgiving at 10 1/2 weeks and then mine the following week at nearly 12 weeks (we are closer with his family).  We won't tell everyone else until the end of the first trimester.

    we told our family and close friends pretty much right away... I told my job at 7.5 weeks because I'm on a big project and they needed to prepare... I just announced on facebook 2 days ago so now pretty much everyone knows!

    Immediately!!!! It was awesome because I didnt think I was able to conceive :)  We are telling his parents on Xmas
