NBR - getting a new laptop: what should I be looking for?
I'm getting a new laptop soon because our current desktop computer is a piece of sh*t lol
But when I look at laptops, it lists the memory and other specifications that might as well be in german to me, because I have no idea what any of it means.
So, if I'm looking for a laptop to surf the web with, have a few Word and Excel docs on and save my digital pictures too, how much memory should I need? Any other specifications I should be looking at?

I have nothing really add to the laptop discussion, but please please please also get an external harddrive to backup your digital pics. My mom got me one as a shower gift which I thought was kind of odd. But I dutifilly backed up everything, and a week later dropped my laptop killing the harddrive and losing all of my pics. Lesson learned, thank God for the external hard drive!
