Wow, ds has his first parent - teacher conferences on Friday! I am so excited but now I don't know what kind of questions I should be asking. Can you help me out?
Thanks!

I had my DD's conference last night and something that the teacher brought up that I thought would be good for the times that the teacher does not bring this up is: If anything is going on at home that you are struggling with, in terms of your LO then discuss that with the teacher too. As well as study habits or things of that sort.
Example: I am having problems getting DD to do her work without being asked. The teacher and I discussed this and she will look out for this as well as DD being a big follower and not soo much a leader so her teacher will also be working with her encourage leadership within her.

Re: What do I ask at conferences?
Usually, you just listen to how your child in during class. But questions I like to ask are:
"What can I do at home w/ child to support what you are doing in the class room?"
"Do you use any online resources like Spelling City or Pearsonsuccess.net so I can access any forgotten homework worksheets for child to do?"
