Hey ladies,
Just recently LO went from having two or three 2+ hour naps to cat napping during the day, 20-30 mins each or so. He was fairly consistent with his naps but changed it up a few days ago. The good part? He slept 6 straight hours last night, followed by 3 hours! I was thrilled I'm sure it's due to not having as long of a nap(s) during the day.
Our main daily activities include play mat, story time, singing, interaction with me (talking, babbling, smiling) and up until this week we would try and go for a walk a few times a week (it's raining today and supposed to rain all week). Any other ideas? When he was up most of this past weekend I found that I was running out of ideas on what to do with him.
Re: Daily activities with LO?
Repetition is key - just maybe get a routine down - when he wakes up in the morning, do the play mat, then move to story time, then singing, then interaction, then walk, and then in the afternoon repeat! Everything they learn is just watching and doing, so the repetition works well. It may be boring for you, but for him it's not!
Do you get the weekly emails from babycenter.com? They always had age appropriate activities in those. Here is the link for activities for 2 month, 2 week:

Were you the one having trouble seeing my posts last week too?
Anyway, I feel like everytime I get used to something with DS, he changes it. I think my mantra has been, this too shall pass (change!). I think it's interesting that it's changing as well. Do you think he's off schedule from the time change at all?
Yep, that was me.
Maybe I'm accidentaly blocked? I just logged out again to see the reply, LOL
Yup, I go with the flow and follow his lead. I think the time change did mess him up a bit. I'm just thankful he's sleeping longer stretches at night, it's been so nice to sleep a little longer finally.

this exactly!!
i don't remember when it was but there was a time when miss A switched over from longer naps to shorter 30 min naps every day! i think it was about when she stopped sleeping all.the.time and actually stayed up long enough for me to do something w/her
sadly, i don't remember when exactly that was anymore....time flies *sniff*
i did read at some point that it's totally normal for younger babies to only nap in 30 min increments though just fyi
sounds like you're already doing most everything that i can think of...but the babycenter links are great too. i get their emails weekly and like them...

We're doing everything that you are, plus we also gave him lots of tummy time whenever we could around that age. Now he's crawling all over the place, so we just have the baby gates closed and let him roam. We also put him in the jumper because he loves to stand but we didn't do that until he was a bit older.
Sometimes MH puts LO on his head so LO can get a view from way up high and he *loves* it and giggles the whole time. Babies also love interacting with mirrors and seeing themselves ("the other baby"). When we're not actively playing with him, we let him play on his own too so he'll learn how to occupy himself and explore on his own terms as well
I think one person has the other person accidentally blocked or vice versa because that happened to me too once (I think I accidentally swiped by the "block" link on someone's post on my phone cuz it's a touchscreen). And as soon as I unblocked, then I was able to see their posts again. You can unblock people here: https://community.thebump.com/cs/ks/user/manageblockusers.aspx.

We've read to Libby nearly every day since we brought her home from the hospital! She adores books and right now they are literally her favorite "toys"...she pours through her box of board books at least three times a day right now. At four months she started turning the pages herself!
What else? If you can, get a baby carrier (Ergo, Babyhawk, woven wrap) and just wear him while you do stuff around the house...Libby loves to do laundry and dishes with me while she's in the Ergo. I narrate what I am doing..."next we hang up the slacks so they don't wrinkle..." etc. I get stuff done and she's learning and having fun with mom! Now...if only she didn't cry when the vaccuum is on! :-)
