GD test question

I haven't been sent for a GD test. I'm 30wks. I'm just wondering when and why you were sent for this test? I had one with my first pregnancy (at between 24 - 26wks )because of a 10lb weight gain in the one month before. Just wondering if everyone gets one or there has to be concern? thanks!

    Seems odd to me.  It's standard procedure in every OB practice I've heard of to do them.  I thought most did them right around 28w.

    I did mine at 28w.

    I did mine at 26 weeks.  I would call your dr and ask the nurse.  Maybe they have forgotten?

    I know it's usually done around 28 weeks.  I will be 30 weeks soon and was given the lab slip at my last appointment (last week) and told to go in when I can.  Hopefully I'll be able to go in on Friday.
