    We have a nice fake one, but I do prefer real trees. We aren't allowed real trees in our apartment.

    I LOVE real trees, and that's what we've had in the past. I'm not sure what we'll do this year, however. We have had a few years where we didn't have the extra money for a tree for one reason or another, so I had to go without. :( We'll see what happens...

    We had a fake tree our first few Christmases, but I hate it and it's falling apart now. Then we had a real tree last year, but this year we're not having one. DH just got laid off and we are really tight on money. I would rather spend the money on presents...or maybe bills.

    We will go to one of the tree farms around here and find and cut down our own tree.  They serve hot apple cider and cookies and candy canes with hot coco and have Christmas music playing in the barn where you bring your tree to pay for it.  They help wrap the tree and tie it up on your vehicle.  It's pretty cool!

    We've gotten real trees in recent years, but they're so expensive here (over $100) and such a PITA that last year we got a really beautiful fake one last year at Target.  It's pre-lit, has textured needles, and little pine cones on it... AND it was 30% off!!
