Thirsties Duo fit question

I know they advertise that their size 1 goes to 18lbs but I just unsnapped my duo wrap to the largest setting and he is about 11-12lbs at 5 weeks.  I want a few duo diapers but don't know if I should invest in size 1 or wait until size 2......

How big were your babies when they outgrew size 1?

    He's a big boy and was out of them by 10 weeks.  He's a bit small for the size 2's though.

    We are getting ready to move out of them.  I have heard, as PP said, there is a gap between the ones and twos though so I am going to hold off just yet.

    Somewhere around 13-14 lbs... I wouldn't get any more size 1s because it sounds like they won't fit very much longer.  I don't know where they came up with 18 lbs, we grew out of them way before that.

    I think DS outgrew them at around 14lbs.  There's a gap for a while when 1s are too small and 2s are too big.

    LO is still fitting in her size 1's, but they leaked yesterday and I think it might be because they're getting too small. She's about 14 pounds. No clue where they get 18 pounds from. It stinks too, because I really like those.

    We have a thirsties duo wrap sz.1 that my LO is on the largest setting of. It will fit him for a little bit but not much longer. We have a duo diaper sz. 2 that is HUGE on him (goes halfway up his back). So there is a huge gap between the sizes in my opinon. The duo diaper is alot bigger than our BG and FB OS.
