I'm assuming that what I've been feeling is the ligaments stretching, but it still freaking me out. I keep having these somewhat sharp pains right where the edge of my scar is. It's on the same side where my sciatica is and where my hip keeps trying to subluxate if I don't turn carefully. Please reassure me this is normal and not my body trying to tear open.
Also, is it supposed to hurt when I cough or sneeze? I feel like I'm post-op postpartum again.....
Re: Pregnancy pains?
I've heard there can be some pain as your uterus grows and stretches out the scar tissue.
It may also be round ligament pain - my RLP is more to the side than my scar extends (I believe - Lord knows I can't see it anymore) but that definitely has hurt when I cough/sneeze/stand up... fun times! Thought about chiropractic? I found a Dr. who specializes in the Webster technique and she also has shown DH how to apply very gentle pressure to the round ligament area to lessen that pain. Sounds like you're having some pelvic issues already, anyhow...
Sounds like round ligament pain to me, especially since it hurts when you cough or sneeze. I've had lots of RLP in both of my pregnancies and it feels a lot like what you are describing.
I have also heard of people's scars feeling weird as they get stretched out. But I am positive you are not going to tear open.
