i don't plan on taking them to walmart or anything but can i get them out and walk around an outdoor mall maybe or anything? what about church? they haven't even been to any of our families homes. everyone has come here..
tell me what you did and what you think is allowed?
Re: getting preemies out...
I've been staying in with the girls. One of my girls was approved for Rsv...and the other was denied coverage. I don't want to risk anything...and don't want her getting sick.
Spending 5 weeks in the hospital this summer was enough for a lifetime... I don't want them to ever have to go back because they got a bug from someone. I'm being overprotective....
We were told any outdoor space is fine. Any indoor crowded space (mall, church, etc) is not.
My husband is an oncologist, and that's what they tell their immunocompromised patients. Just too many germs at indoor spaces.
Pedi gave this advice, but it also depends on your preemie. If LO was sick to begin with, or had lung problems, you may want to be more cautious. A lot of preemie parents quarantine during the first winter.
