Ffn test results

Came back negative! 98% chance that baby girl will NOT be arriving in the next two weeks! Whew! That will get us to 35 weeks which I can handle. Thanks for the positive vibes everyone!

Re: Ffn test results

  • Yay!!!

I actually was trying to get in touch with you earlier...I saw your post on the High Risk Pregnancy board and was wondering if you asked your Dr about the steroid shots at your appt.  Everything I've read says they only give them up until 34 weeks...is that true or do they give them later?

  • yay congrats!

Did you ask them to do the test or did they just do it? I'm kind of surprised that I haven't had the test done considering my two stints with preterm labor. I have a u/s tomorrow to look at my cervix to make sure it's not effacing.

  • SO glad for you!  What a relief, I wish mine had been negative!  35 weeks is such a great point to get to, you might even skip much of a NICU stay, if at all by getting to that point!  Exciting news!

chicky1231, I was told that they would not do steroid shots after 34 weeks, I went into PTL with DD and I was in my 34th week, closer to 35 and they wouldnt do them.  Not sure why, I know they told me, just dont remember! I know they not only help with lungs, but brain development too, so maybe things are close enough to being developed??

Thanks I was curious about if that was true

  • I didn't ask. The doctor offered to after I talked about being concerned and feeling a little crampy.

I'm feeling good right now! New goal- to make it to 37 weeks!
