Hi Ladies! I am heading to Philly for Thanksgiving and I was wondering if anyone knows of a hotel off the turnpike just east of Pittsburgh? DH and I cannot leave Detroit until 9pm... so we only want to do half the drive Wednesday night. Thanks so much!

I am a Michigan native living in Pittsburgh and would recommend getting off at the New Stanton exit, which is about an hour east once you get into PA. Depending on where you are in Detroit, it should take you about 6 hours to get to New Stanton.
Google Maps is showing a bunch of hotels off that exit. Hope something works!!

Or, if you want to pull off before you hit Pittsburgh, I would recommend stopping at the Cranberry exit. Cranberry is only about 20-30 minutes across the border, so it would make your nighttime drive a little shorter. Should be lots of hotels in that area too.
