I had the creepiest dream last night.
Aidan was born (and my husband delivered him, for some ungodly reason) and when my husband dumped him on my chest, I noticed that one of his nipples looked like a finger.
WTF?
In the dream, I was crying and saying I didn't know how I was supposed to love him with a finger-nipple. Everyone kept telling me it was "the hormones" and it would go back to normal soon, and I was just totally miserable.
Meanwhile, Mchupie's baby was born (actually, Mchupie gave birth on the floor right next to me, with an actual doctor, so IDK why all I got was my husband...) and was perfect and gorgeous and I was attempting to broker a trade.
I have never woken up feeling so horribly guilty in my entire life. I spent a good half hour in the shower this morning telling Aidan I'll love him even with a finger-nipple and I promise not to try to trade up.

That is such a funny dream but I can see how it would freak you out!!!!!
I dreamt last night that I was in a communal shower (ala Japanese hotels) and I laid an egg (looked like a chicken egg) and it cracked open when it fell and there were two yokes in it and I started crying because I thought I'd just lost my twins (yeah, I'm not having twins). Weird.
I would have been dream-upset about a finger nipple, too. Don't feel bad! Wish we could shut the creepo dreams off!
haha, too funny! i recently dreamt that our little guy came early (like right before christmas eve mass) but my in-laws were here for christmas so dh & i felt like we had to get to church so that we wouldn't upset them. we all left the hospital in a hurry so we wouldn't miss mass but on the way there i realized we didn't have a christmas outfit for the baby. i threw a hissy fit & made dh take us to kohl's (i don't really shop there so i dont know why this was in my dream) and we were running thru kohl's to find him a christmas outfit. then we get to church & i realized i was still my hospital gown...it was very bizarre!
LOL this is the most hilarious dream EVER. I'm so sorry that Aidan had a finger-nipple, though hehe
I certainly hope I don't end up delivering on the floor, and that you don't end up delivering with no doctor, yikes!

I think this was the part that made me feel the most horribly guilty. I felt SO BAD - like Aidan somehow knows that dream-me tried to dream-trade him for someone else's baby.
i think the finger nipple came about because in last night's childbirth class, they showed us pictures of ways newborns can look... interesting... and they included things like coneheads, skin rashes, excessive vernix, swollen genitals, and swollen nipples. All completely normal. For the record, the swollen nipples did NOT look like fingers. My own freakish mind did that...
ETA: I am heartened that even dream-me didn't try to steal someone else's finger-nipple-free kid. I was trying to set up a totally legit trade.

Ha ha! This dream is so funny - but would have me totally upset too.
The other night I dreamt that my doctor called me to tell me the baby had been born early and was in the NICU (because apparently, my doctor can deliver the baby without me even being in the same area). I raced over there and on the way my best friend mugged me so that I didn't even have a phone to call DH (who was somewhere else and on his way). She even apologized for the inconvenient time of the mugging. I saw the thing where the baby was and could sort of see the baby (who was about 20 pounds anyway). I woke up at 4am screaming for DH.

Don't feel guilty about your dreams. I believe dreams are just your minds way of making sense out of this crazy life
