So today one of my best guy friends called to tell me that him and his gf just found out they are pregnant. He said she had missed her period and after over 10 negative pregnancy tests they finally went to the doctor and found out they were indeed 8 weeks along. They were def not planning for a baby. He had finally reached the point that he was and still is proposing on New Years . But a baby was not in the picture for a loooong time. When he told me how beautiful she looks washing the dishes with a glowing smile on her face, and how she keeps looking at her stomach and talking to her little one. I started to fight the tears in my eyes. Even though it was over the phone I was afraid my voice would crack as I kept saying "awww thats so cute" or "awww Im so happy for you guys".
I am so happy for them and I can't wait to see the baby. But man I sure am glad that the news was over the phone and not in person.lol I also diddn't really think that I would have been so sad. Not sad for them but sad that I couldn't tell him the same thing.
Re: I am so happy for them
What you are feeling is normal, and I'm sure it happens to all of us.
It's totally normal to feel happy and sad at the same time!
The day after my MC I got a phone call from my SIL that she had delivered her baby boy and I burst into tears (they didn't know I was KU). I was happy for them, but also sad for us. I later explained and she understood because she had a previous MC herself.
Hang in there and don't give up hope!!
Aww! *Hugs*
I'm sorry you had to go through that. That's so hard. But keep your spirits up! "Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer." :] The timing will all be perfect when baby finally decides to show up! :] Things have a way of working out for the best. :]
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. -Ephesians 4:29
