I think most doctors will prescribe Zofran for ladies with bad m/s and nausea. Not sure if Phenergan is safe. Can you check with your doctor? If he/she gave it to you knowing you a pregnant it is probably okay.
Yes, it is an alternative if Zofran doesn't work for you. I believe Phenergan is technically an antihistamine, so it will make you very drowsy. I suggest talking to your doctor about it and starting with half a pill. It works great, by the way. Good Luck!
My ob actually gave me Phenergan prior to Zofran. I hated it - it made me incredibly loopy, drowsy and I felt depressed on it. It didn't really help with my nausea to boot. I felt a million times better once I got on the Zofran.

My doc gave me a prescription for Phenergan. However, like others said, it makes you really tired. It's hard to decide if I wanted to be (A) nauseous and tired or (B) have a double dose of being tired. Both options are rough.
I was prescribed this before I went on Zofran. All it did was put me into a coma...I literally couldn't hold my eyes open. There was no way I could have done anything on that medicine. Im not sure if it even helped with the nausea or if it just made me pass out! It is a category C drug.

My dr. prescribed it, but it's a category C and I heard about the drowsiness as well. So I didn't take it. A friend of mine took and and it worked well for her.
