duo wrap snaps vs velcro

We used the thirsties duo wraps with velcro for DS. He is only 2 months old, but has already almost outgrown the size one duo wrap, so we need to get the next size up. I wasn't really happy with how the velcro held up. Has anyone else experienced this? I was thinking the snaps would be better, but was worried about sizing. Thoughts?

I haven't used the snaps but would be curious to hear. I really like them but like you, my velcro is weak and we have only been using them for about two months also!

My LO is also 2 mon. and the velcro is not looking so hot. We love our duo wrap though. I dont know how the snaps would be? I wish they had 3 sizes instead of 2 though.. He's almost outgrown the sz. 1 but we have a sz. 2 duo diaper that goes almost to his armpits!

I have both aplix and snaps and I much prefer my snaps. In the size one I only had snaps, but in the swap I got a size two with aplix. The cover is still great, I just like the snaps.

I'm always the one to disagree on snaps vs. aplix conversations, but I much prefer aplix. I've only been diapering for 3 months now, so maybe I will change my tune if the aplix doesn't hold up over time, but I just don't like how I can never seem to get a good fit with snaps. Plus, the hubby hates snaps. He always reaches for the BG or Thirsties with aplix, and never our Fuzzibunz or Thirsties with snaps.

I much prefer the velcro/aplix vs. snaps. I can never good fit with snaps (any brand). I have both velcro and snaps of the duo wraps and definitely prefer the velcro. I haven't noticed much of an issue with how well it's holding up, but honestly, the Thirsties isn't my go-to diaper (although it's looking better and better every day since DS is outgrowing his main diapers and the next size is still too big).

Ditto all of this! I feel like I can get a better fit with aplix (though I agree, the Thirsties aplix wasn't very strong). And my DH NEVER reaches for snaps. I think he is scared of them.
