Trying to Get Pregnant

Lets talk baking

With the holidays coming up I can't help but have baking on my mind.  I'm looking for some great websites and blogs on baking.  Please share your favorite baking sites.

I'm also looking for some new tools to add to my baking collection.  So, please share baking tools you love or wish you had.

TIA

  • I have to recommend good old Martha Stewart. Her recipes are easy, and ALWAYS delicious. I am a baking-a-holic, marthastewart.com is always my go to.
  • The three things I can not bake without (all pampered chef)imageimageimage

The batter bowl makes storage & mixing easier.  The measure all cup cause you just push the gunk out, and the stone to prevent burning.

  • i love the bake350 blog for cookie ideas - bakeat350.blogspot.com. she pretty much does butter/sugar cookies with decoration on top and has tons of great ideas. for cakes, I like cakecentral.com (i decorate cakes on the side and sometimes use this site for inspiration).

ETA - I second the rec. on the Pampered Chef measuring cup - it fabulous! I use it to measure out the shortening when I make icing all the time. Also great for butter, peanutbutter, honey, mayo...the list goes on and on and on. If you get one, definately get the bigger, 2-cup one :-)

I have two of those three things.  And I have a stoneware piece, but mine is round for pizza, but I still use it for cookies.    LOVE pampered chef.

  • I'm hoping to learn to bake really well this winter. I've always enjoyed toying around with it, but all of a sudden I have this desire to be really good at it. Anyway, I found this site that I like: https://bakingbites.com/

I'm a Pampered Chef junkie; if I don't already own it, I covet it. :P They have some good recipes on their website, too! :)

Definitely do. I remember when I was on TK and everyone would answer the "what do you hope for most from your registry?" polls with "Kitchenaid mixer." And I was all "whatevs. Those things better give orgams for the price." And then I got one, and I get what all the fuss is about. I'd have burned out about 10 hand mixers by now without my Kitchenaid.

Foodgasms. They give foodgasms. And also whatever it's called when making cookie dough is super easy instead of a pain the ass.
