Remember SIL and her fertility issues?  Well, I FB-ed her today to see how her first round of femara is going.  (What can I say, I feel stronger today.)  She says she is good and then tells me AGAIN that if I could just relax I would get KU.

I have told her 500-billionty times to please not say that.  I can think of so many snarkass comments I want write back.  Soooo many.  So many!!!  I feel like I have really been there for her, and that is what I get.

    Thanks guys.  I mean really, I can understand that comment in some cases but I have 3 (THREE!!!) diagnosed IF issues and DH has 1.  OMG, it is sooo not about relaxing.

    Oh! Relaxing?!  I was wondering why I had 2 miscarriages...I just need to go get a massage at the spa and that will take care of everything!

    I am sorry you have to deal with insensitive and thoughtless comments.  You should go off on her.  After many reminders not to say that, she deserves it.

    I don't get how she can be going through fertility treatments and still think that you just need to relax. Why doesn't she just effing relax then?

    If we put Xanax in the water supply, would everyone get pregnant...? This is what I am getting out of your SIL's statement. I'll write up a letter to the president now.

    Wow. I can't believe what a hypocrite she's being taking drugs while telling you to just relax.

    Is there a nice way you can point out the incongruity of her "just relax" advice without getting in a fight? I wouldn't be able to bite my tongue on that and I'm pretty non-confrontational. You're a better woman than I am.

    Um - what?  She's on femara but she tells you that you need to relax and you'll get pregnant.  Does she see the irony?  You are definitely being really, really nice about this and she's being a boneheaded by telling you to relax - even though you have repeatedly asked her not to say that.  I don't think I'm a very nice person.  I would stop asking her about her femara treatments and if she brings it up again or needs a shoulder to cry on I would recommend that she relax.
