slight brown discharge at 13 weeks with twins

I have had very slight brownish discharge for the last couple of days off and on.   I wasn't all that worried about it until today...  The last time it happened was just after I had carried several bags of groceries into the house.....could this possibly have caused it?  I have absolutely no cramping or pain....

Re: slight brown discharge at 13 weeks with twins

  • Highly doubt it was from carrying groceries, but you still need to call your doc to let him/her know. (if you havent already).

  • The very same thing happened to me about that time.  I called my doctor and he said that it was mostly likely nothing to worry about as long as it wasn't red.  He had me go on bedrest for a couple of days to take it easy.  It went away within a week and I went on to have a healthy pregnancy.

  • Call your Dr but I had this for about 2 mts on and off around that time and it was nothing to be concerned about.

  • always call your OB if you have any spotting...  I spotted at 13w with my twins and my OB told me to come in and get checked out - it turned out to be nothing, but she said it's always good to call.... and i was told to take it easy after that- so you might be doing too much.... call your doc.
  • I had the same at around 14 weeks, turns out I just had a small SCH.  It resolved itself pretty quickly.

I'm sure all will be fine, follow your doctor's instructions and rest!

  • Like everyone else said, call your doctor just in case.  I had brown spotting early on and lasted for over 5 weeks and it was nothing to be concerned about.  But get it checked out so you know for sure.
  • Agree with everyone else to call your doc just in case. I had the exact same thing for 3 days at around 14 weeks - they never could pinpoint what was causing it, but the babies were fine. Smile
