I have my first IUI scheduled for 9:00 this morning! At my last u/s I had 2 possibly 4 follies. I have never before experienced ovulation pain, however Saturday night around 8:00 I triggered and last night between 8:00 and 9:00 I was having some pain. I don't really know how everything is timed out, do you think this pain could have been ovulation pain? If so, will the eggs still be available at 9:00 for my IUI? I keep hoping that the pain was nerves/excitement!
Re: First IUI Question
You should be fine...you will ovulate 24-36 hours after your trigger and the egg can live anywhere b/t 12 - 24 hours. I ALWAYS feel ovulation pain and am convinced I ovulated too early for all 3 of my IUI's, but that's why they do your bloodwork before you trigger and time your IUI that way. For my first IUI, I triggered, then went in 36 hours later and I STILL hadn't ovulated yet (according to my bloodwork)...so we had to go back the next day. Good luck!!!
