My older son still sits in the fisher price booster seat chair that attaches to a regular chair. He doesn't use the tray anymore....just sits at the table. We do have a regular high chair too. But I doubt I'll have it out for long. Once baby can sit at the FP booster chair, he'll go in that and big brother probably won't need one anymore by then.
What some people I know did was just use the bumbo for feeding until they could sit up well in the FP booster seat. That's an idea. But I do like having the high chair just as an extra place for him to sit and play, not only eat. We just got it out this weekend and he loves it!
We have this one and I would recommend it. It reclines just as a highchair would. Only con is that the chair won't fit underneath the table when not in use. I guess it's still better than having a full-size. FWIW, we used a full-size Chicco with DD and it just took up too much space when open. https://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=12960801&findingMethod=rr
We have Fisher Price one. We used it with DD#1 and now were using it with DD#2. Its so much nicer than a bulky high chair. It also travels well, we take it every where, out to eat, on vacation, to other peoples houses. The only down fall it that it doesnt fit under any table to use as a booster seat. But thats not an issue for us.
Love it. It's compact, light and easy to set up. DD has been in it with us at the table since she was a few weeks old. It reclines enough we were able to take her out to eat in it when she was just a month old (we don't own an infant car seat.) We like it a lot. It actually travels with us to visit grandparents now, so we can go out to eat with them. It's a really nice chair, we're really glad we got it.
I have both the Fisher Price Space saver one as well as the one the first poster linked to from Amazon.
The Space Saver is so much better. It is soft and cushiony for a baby. It reclines which is great because they fall asleep in them all the time. Something about eating which sends babies to sleep! It is also much more sturdy than the Amazon one. However, the Amazon one is great if you are traveling. Overall, I love the Space Saver one much more.

IUI- BFN IVF #1 -BFP! Allie is our 2nd IVF baby. Born at 36 1/2 weeks after pre-e again
We don't, but in researching high chairs I read that if you're going to use a space-saver that attaches to a regular chair make sure your chair has an A-frame base, otherwise it could be top-heavy.
Re: anyone use a spacesaver highchair?
We used this with DS#1 and will use it again with DS#2. It's great and easily portable (and the price can't be beat!).
