So I know honey is a no-no for babies but I cant find graham crackers that arent "honey" flavored for DS... I really want to try some but is it ok?
And cooking with cows milk, is this any different than introducing it as a drink? I know I want to wait till a year but I know thanksgiving coming up poses this question since the potatoes will have cream, the green bean casserole and creamed spinach... I am always stressing about this!
Re: Ok dumb question alert! RE: cow milk and honey
You can give things that have been cooked with honey. The only problem is with raw honey. Botulism spores do not withstand cooking. Also, cooking with dairy is not the same as giving a cup of milk.
These are silly questions
but the only dumb question is the one not asked
I just wrote a blog post about my discovery about the No Honey rule...LOL. LO loves honey wheat bread so we still give that to him.
Our family blog
This reminds me of a mini heart attack I had last night.
DH had Lo at his parents house, and i was able to go get a pedi (yay me!). I called DH when I got home and he was telling me about what Lo ate.
DH: "He ate some pasta with cheese, honey.."
Me: *almost dies from mini heart attack* "NO HONEY, NO! Ohmgodpleasetellmeyoudidntgiveourbabyhoney!"
DH: "Um, no. It was honey flavored yogurt. "
Me: "Oh... Ok carry on..."
