I sent the email to my closest family telling them about our IF. I feel pretty good about it - I know they will be supportive. It was just so hard to press send!

I saw your post last night and was hoping you would! They need to be aware of what's going on with you and what a struggle IF really is. I think their opinions will change drastically now that it hits closer to home.
I'm proud of you! I hope you get an incredible response! HUGS

Great job. I've been thinking about doing the same thing as well - I haven't even told my mom - I'm just so worried about breaking her heart b/c she wants grandchildren so badly. I don't even know where to start.
How much information did you share? What did you tell them you needed?
First of all, to answer your question, I basically explained where we were and what we have been doing because I felt like we have had to do so much lying lately. I knew that my mom suspected something and was seeing through some of my lies, so I thought that I better address it. I told them about the testing, that we are unexplained so that they wouldn't worry that we were sick, and what course of treatment we are following.
That said, I didn't really get the response that I expected. My mom was really hurt that I didn't tell her sooner and I think she was really shocked that I would tell anyone else. (In the message, I included my two aunts and my sister and brother.) Her response was really strange and I am almost regretting it right now... DH is making me feel much better, though, about the decision we made.

Re: I finally did it...
Good for you! Sometimes writing something down is the easiest way to get your thoughts out and say everything you need to say.
I'm sure everyone is going to rally and give you tons of support!
