I did. At first, it made me a bit nauseous after they put it in.(It was not painful, just felt like pinching while going in.) As I was numbing, I kind of felt like I had a hard time breathing, and that made me panic a bit, but they said it was totally normal. I wish I had known that and I think I might not have been so nervous. After that, it was fine. I felt nothing other than the tugging during the section. Afterwards, it does take quite a few hours until you can feel anything from the waist down. I could not leave recovery until I regained feeling.
Good luck, honey! I can't believe you will meet your little men soon!

I did. It wasn't painful or anything like that. I did get nauseous and threw up. It's a weird weird feeling when the numbness hits your chest. You can breathe but it can initially feel like you can't.

It was great. They numbed the area with lidocane and I didn't even feel the needle. It was very quick. I started going numb slowly and laid down on the table. I could feel them touching me, but no pain. They pricked me with a tack all over my belly before proceeding with the c/s to make sure I felt no pain, and I didn't.
They put some pain meds in with the spinal that wear off after 24 hours. The first 24 hours are quite nice with those meds.
GOOD LUCK!!!
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
I did, I remember once it hit I felt like I couldn't breathe. I kept telling the nurses and they explained that my chest was numb but I didn't believe them and thought something was seriously wrong. After about 10 minutes of trying to convince them I realized if I couldn't breathe I wouldn't have been able to carry on for do long. Lol. I couldn't feel anything from the waist down for quite awhile which was a weird sensation. During the c/s all I felt was tugging and pulling. I had the shakes really bad in recovery and threw up but once that was over I recovered and got feeling back pretty quickly.

It is similar to the epi, in terms of how it feels going in. I threw up daily when I was pregnant, until the day I delivered, so I dont know if I puked from the spinal or because I would have puked anyway!
It is also disconcerting to feel like you can't breathe, and your vision might get weird, too. Lights feel too bright, etc. That is from the blood pressure changes and a bit alarming, but totally normal.
There will be a catheter, ask for it to be inserted after the spinal has taken effect. It is NOT a big deal at all, but it seems scary when you hear about it... I didn't even know that was going to happen and nearly had a panic attack. Believe me, it was NO big deal.
I had to stay in bed for 24 hours and not allowed to get up, but I think that might have been more my diabetes and not a general spinal thing.
