So for my ER, I'm assuming I need to take ALL my jewelry out, right? Even earrings? This is going to suck since I am rather pierced. I'll let you dirty girls wonder where
They do say take out all your jewelry. However I have several holes in each ear, and some of the earrings are hoops connected with a little ball that I have never taken out myself. A piercer does it with some special tool thingie. Anyway, I would check with one of the nurses or doctor himself and ask if you really need to take out the piercings that might be a pain. I asked my nurse about the earrings that I mentioned above, and she said don't worry about it, that my head would be covered by that lovely surgical cap.

I didn't have to take out any of my jewelery although I may have taken my rings off, I can't remember. I know I didn't take out my belly button ring and they never said anything about that.

The info sheet I had said not to wear any jewelry, so I left all mine at home. So, I don't know how picky they would have been had I had earrings on, etc.

I removed my belly ring since I'd have to take it out for pg anyway. I kept the ear cartilidge-ring and my nose-ring in though.
