Just wondering if any of you have delivered at Regions hospital? I would love to hear your experiences! We're going there for the first time this week for our scan!
I delivered there twice...my first was a scheduled c/s and my second was a very successful VBAC. Both experiences were amazing, and I would not go anywhere else.
My triage time both times was great. It's not the most comfortable "room", but the nurses and staff were amazing. The surgery team for my c/s was great. They kept me in the loop on everything and were very patient and caring from the surgery through the post-op care. For my VBAC, the midwives and nurses were beyond amazing. They didn't push anything, gave me my space. My nurse snatched up the only room with a tub as soon as it became available for me. The left me alone and didn't push any drugs on me (as I was going drug free). The midwifes on staff were all so supportive.
The after care nurses for both were all very friendly, patient and helpful. I never had any issues or was left waiting for anything. The food is great, definitely not your typical hospital food. They give you a ton with each meal too, I was usually able to share with DH.
With my last delivery, they even give you a gift card to their cafe so DH was able to use that for some meals. And, they give a voucher for free parking now, which is great.
I'd definitely recommend them, and will continue to deliver there if we have more kids.
I delivered DS there and it was great! I loved the midwife that delivered, and all the nurses were great to deal with. The food was awesome for hospital food, and there was really no pressure whatsoever for anything. If we were to ever have another one I'd probably deliver at Regions again...but it isn't likely that we will
Re: Regions Hospital experiences?
I did. And you couldn't pay me to deliver there again. I had a HORRIBLE labor and delivery nurse, absolutely horrible.
I did have an awesome experience in post partum, but I would never go back there to have a baby. And I used to work at that hospital.
