Grant will eat rice cereal and a stage 1 or 2 fruit for lunch and then at dinner usually either a stage 2 veggie or cereal and a veggie. I'm basically still using the cereal to get rid of it....I think we could probably incorporate more stage 2 foods but I'm also not pushing him too much.
at that age, DS was eating oatmeal or rice cereal with every meal along with his 1 jar of stage 2. We also did 2 meals a day until 9 months, so we didn't go through that much baby food.
DD is almost 8 months... She eats one stage 2 of the cereal with fruit combo, lunch she eats one stage 2 fruit, and for dinner she eats two stage 2 veggies. We will start introducing table food in a few weeks, but its hard since she has no teeth.. :-(
DS will eat one stage one fruit mixed w/ cereal for breakfast. For dinner, he has been eating one stage one veggie and fruit. We've been doing this for about a month. We go to the doctor today, so I'm going to ask about starting stage 2's.
He eats 2-3 tablespoons of cereal with 1/2 a Stage 1 fruit mixed in for breakfast and the same at his last feeding of the day. For lunch, he gets a Stage 1 veggie. He gets a 5-6 oz bottle with each of these and eats every 2-2.5 hours (always has). We tried the Stage 2 foods but it seems like too much for him (he was spitting it back up)...so we went back to Stage 1. He'll be 8 months next Tuesday.

Wow- DD eats so little
She has 1/2 stage 2 fruit with rice cereal for breakfast, 1/2 stage 2 fruit for lunch, and 1/2 stage 2 veggie for dinner.
Thats 1 1/2 stage 2 meals a day, with 30 oz of formula.
