    Isn't the point of spanx to suck everything in? I would think that it would not be possible to suck in the baby bump at this point. Also that it would be very uncomfortable. I'm just thinking of myself who gets uncomfortable if there is any pressure put on my stomach.

    I have a couple tank tops with built in tummy control, and even at 9 weeks I was very uncomfortable.  felt like I couldn't breathe!

    sounds like it...unless there is maternity spanx with a tummy panel.

    ETA: Had to look and found out there are Maternity Spanx !!

    Maternity Spanx are awesome!!  And actually really comfortable, IMO.

    I still wear my Assets (cheaper Spanx brand) under my dress pants, but I haven't popped yet. I think they might have maternity Assets as well.  You can get Assets at Target.

    I have a few holiday functions that involve fancy dresses and I'm still in my regular clothes so I just bought some maternity Spanx.

    Thanks girls! I know it sounds silly but I am used to wearing Spanx under all fancy dresses for weddings/holiday parties/etc. Mike's 10th reunion is next week and I was thinking about wearing my Spanx underneath. I haven't really popped at all...just looking pudgy around the middle. I guess I can try them on and see how they feel. I would only be wearing them for a few hours and since there isn't a dinner, I won't have to sit down (sometimes that is when they get uncomfortable). I'm not sure if maternity Spanx will work yet but I'm willing to check them out! THANKS!
