I had a scheduled c-section with my LO. I have a bicornuate uterus. Number 1, she was running out of room in my uterus and her growth was slowing down, so they wanted to get her out after the amnio came back that her lungs were developed. Number 2, she was breech because there was no room for her to turn. Had there been room, doc would have induced me to get her out early and I could have had a natural birth. C-section went fine. Baby is doing awesome. LO is 8 1/2 months old now.
Two questions:
1) any experience or thoughts on having a VBAC when I get pregnant again if baby is not breech?
2) Is it too soon to try for LO #2? My doc originally said the latest guidelines say to wait 18 months between C-sections, but I just didn't want to wait that long. I'll be 35 next year, and was also wanting the LOs close in age.
Sorry so lengthy. And appreciate any input/advice/thoughts.
Re: If your first delivery was a scheduled C-section...
Is it 18 months between c/s or 18 months before getting pregnant again? If it is between c/s and LO is already 8 1/2 months, you are almost there assuming you were to go full term. Of course if it is before getting pregnant again that's another story.
My OB told me to wait a year before getting pregnant.. not sure what your ob thinks.

Patiently waiting for little brother!
I've always heard (c/s or not) to give your body 2 years before even TTC.
Another thing...I wouldn't worry about being 35 w/your 2nd baby. I'm 39...and we're not TTC our 2nd one yet!
By any chance, are you on the Mullerian Anomolies group on Yahoo? They are a wealth of information on there! While I don't have a BU, I have an undiagnosed anomolie that I'm trying to get sorted out (it's an asymmetrical heart shaped ute).
Anyways - if you're not in the group & would like info on it, just let me know!

I agree that the Mullerian Abnormalities group is a great resource, you could probably get a great answer on this there.
Francesca Pearl is here! Josephine Hope is almost 3!
What is the website for the Mullerian Abnormalities group, please?
i don't know if it's right or wrong but my ob won't allow VBAC's if you've had two previous c-sections.
i'm done after this one, so it doesn't matter...but that's what he told me.
