Don't know. M did this weird belly-flopping thing until he was about 11 months, then crawled properly for a few weeks then walked. They don't all crawl before they walk.
Babycenter gives a 6 to 10 month age range for crawling. That is a pretty big age span. Some babies never crawl. They just skip that stage, but most babies find some (usually very creative) way to get around to get what they want. My DH never crawled, but scooted on his butt, then jsut got up and walked.

My LO won't crawl, either. He rolls or scoots backwards and gets very frustrated that he is further away from his intended destination. I think any day he will get it. I am kind of scared of what will happen then; he is a quick and wily one.
S, my daughter, didn't crawl until she was 10 months old. T, my son, didn't crawl at all - went straight to walking. Don't worry - it will come sooner than you think. Or he might surprise you and go straight to walking.

C has always been very very active and physical, and he didn't start crawling until month 7, so T's doing just fine.
Be careful what you wish for....
