I have been so afraid of having sex with dh until i hear that hb. i know sex will not have any affect on the baby but i am more afraid of spotting after and causing myself undue stress. i know i am nuts but is anyone else not doing the deed?
I was scared too, but the other day DH really wanted to so I gave in (glad I did btw) but right after I ran to the bathroom to make sure there was no signs of spotting or whatever LOL
I know its safe, but we did with our last pg, and I spotted quite a bit. Like you said, I stressed out about it a lot, eventhough it was nothing. Not worth the stress just yet. We'll wait until we hear a heartbeat... hopefully Thursday.

I was feeling the same way until I saw a post that someone had posted (I'm sorry I do not remember who you were) and it stuck with me. She said that "You cannot do anything to shake a healthy pregnancy" (obviously within reason, no drugs, alcohol...etc...)
So I gave into DH...twice now:) and I'm very happy that I did, and everything has been fine, no spotting or cramping after:)
We weren't having sex until yesterday, due to me feeling ill all the time. I wasn't feeling 100% but I decided to "take one for the team" and he was good about being gentile and it was actually pretty amazing.
There is a whole lot more blood flow down there, so it intensifies everything.
I had one small drop of spotting, but I knew it was from sex so I didn't freak out.
I was scared the first time or two. But after that DH and I haven't worried too much about it. I eased up a lot especially after my first U/S a week ago.
*First RE visit 5/10

*It's a Boy! EDD July 4th 2011
*Surprise!! Natural BFP! Beta 1=306, Beta 2= 1100! EDD Aug 18th 2012! IT's a BOY!
I didn't want to have sex for about 2 weeks after our BFP. I was just too afraid. Now we are back into the sex we were having before BFP. I think my O's are more intense now, which is a great benefit. I tend to not get as lubricated naturally so we are using left over preseed for that issue.
I haven't yet this time around, but we did with my first pregnancy and have a healthy 3 year old now!! I know it seems scary, but everything I've read said it's perfectly normal and healthy.
I'm on pelvic rest until I see the midwife on the 30th (due to spotting) so no, we can't do anything.......honestly, it sucks! I so badly want to jump DH lol
I had about 10 minutes of hesitation, but I gave in pretty quickly. I am running to the bathroom right afterward to check for spotting, but there hasn't been any at all. And the extra blood flow....holy moly.

Me too... DH and I haven't had sex since we found out
I know I won't enjoy it at all once we finally do it... I will be too busy worrying about "hurting" the baby. I know it's COMPLETELY irrational but I can't help it

We haven't either and after spotting on Friday once I'm worried to even do it because I don't want to have any more. I think I'll call the doctor on monday and see what they say.
My DH has been traveling a lot since I got my BFP so I haven't had to avoid him much. Last night I probably would've been ok but he went to bed early, of course. I just haven't been in the mood much at all when he's actually home, no fear involved.
We never had a problem before and will keep active again. We still "knock it out" 2-3x a week and did last time up until DD was born. For me sex is amazing when I am pregnant
I know its so hard to reason with ourselves. Since we KNOW that sex is safe fo you and baby, but its still so hard to relax and enjoy without thinking of all the worries.I want to but haven't since our BFP, my first appt is tues, maybe I can hold out till then

We haven't had sex since my BFP either, partially because I'm afraid of spotting and freaking myself out, but mostly it's because I'm so incredibly exhausted.
I am not allowed to per my RE...it has been almost 2 months and will be at least 2 more weeks. Poor DH...but it is worth it.

SAIF/PAIF Welcome
Lots of love and luck to my PAIF/3T/IF Veteran ladies, especially my dear friend Zookie. Congrats to Papps, Teach84 and Starbuck on their little ones.
My poor, poor DH. Thank God he loves me is all I can say. I've cut him off since 2 days after our IUI - so over 3 weeks now.
One reason is that I'm on crinone (a progesterone supplement that is a vaginal cream that I take 2x a day) and it make sex, uh, "sticky."
The 2nd reason is that after going through infertility I'm just so nervous. DH was really bugging me yesterday and I said "ok so when I start spotting afterwards, you won't complain about taking me to the ER then, right?" That definitely shut him up - but I still feel bad. Granted I have been taking care of him in other ways, but I still am feeling bad for him. I think I'll feel better after talking to my Dr. and seeing the heartbeat.
After 2 years, Injects, PCOS diagnosis and 2 IUI's, we were blessed with our beautiful twin girls! Baby Girl #3!
We haven't had sex since my bfp on Nov 1st. I work a lot of night shifts and when I'm on my days off DH is usually working so we don't see a lot of eachother.. There was one time that I turned him down. I think the nervousness is over and I probably would now if the opportunity came.. haha
Re: Let's talk about sex
me and dh are so sexually frustrated that i think we are going to have to give it a go (before we kill each other). thank u for your response.
