  • Kirkland (Costco) $16.69 for a 36oz. can, the price is right for us and it easily compares to Similac.

  • Target brand. Try generic brands, its a great money saving option for most.

  • We use Parents Choice (Walmart) and it's wayy cheaper.  The only one DS would take other than Parents choice was Good Start but it gave him really stinky gas and his BMs were really dark... went to Parents Choice and it's almost exactly like he was on Breast Milk.

  • My LO was bf and supplemented until he experienced lactose allergy at 4wks old. Had him on Isomil (Similac) for a while, worked great but it was pricey.  Switched to Up & Up Target brand and he started spitting up blood (small amount) and Pedi found blood in his stool (it's dark green so it was hard to tell) and he was becoming anemic. Switched back to Similac Isomil until the recent recall so now, I have him on Enfamil Prosobee. Ever since his last scare with spitting up blood and whatnot, I have been hesitant to try any other store brand.

Same here.  DS's poop doesn't smell as much as it did on Similac.

We use the Dr. Brown's pitcher to mix the formula and it seems to cut down on gassiness.

  • When we first started supplementing we use Similac. DS had some gas/fussy issues so the Pedi recommended we switch to Enfamil. Stayed on that for a couple of weeks then switched to Kirkland Brand. He did well each time we switched & is definitely most happy with the Kirkland & my wallet likes it too!!

  • Up & Up generic of Similac Sensitive.  Only $14 something a can.  Much cheaper!  He started on Similac Advance but it gave him gas and diahrreah.  Much better on the sensitive!

  • Similac

If you join thier Similac Gold program they send you $5 and $10 and Free coupons for formula which is great. A nurse also told me there is only one ingredient difference between Similac and Enfamil, and she believes that extra ingredient is the reason why more babies have reflux.
