24 mo onesies Gap vs Carters

Would anyone mind sharing their experience with the size of 24 mo onesies from Carters vs Gap?  Are 24 mo onesies from Carters longer than Gap?  I think I remember that back when we were in 3 mo onesies that was the case, but I haven't bought Carters in a looooooong time because the store is slightly out of the way for me.

TIA ladies!

  • I don't think we've owned any onsies since 12-18 months, but in general, I found that carter's onesies were longer/slimmer than gap.

  • I don't have any experience with Gap onesies, but I know that 24 mo Gap shirts are tighter and shorter then 24 mo Carters. Most of DDs 24 mo Carters shirts still look loose, but she looks like she's about to outgrow the 24 mo Gap. DDs Carters onesies are long and loose too.

  • Carters definitely runs bigger, at least in my experience. DD is in all 24 month/2T clothes but she can still wear 18 month Carters clothes. The 18-24 month onesies from the Gap do still fit her, (but probably not for long) but the 24 month Carters onesies are still a bit big for her.

  • Thanks!  I have a 9 month old that is in the love-to-pull-my-diaper-off stage but he is so tall that he is wearing 24 mo. I am going to be screwed if he gets any bigger!
  • I haven't bought Gap onesies since 12mos size (always found them to be a wide fit).  I do have some Carter's in 18 and 24mos sizes and they fit my tall girls well.

  • in my general experience gap runs smaller than carter's in the same size. gap tends to run small, carter's tends to run big.
  • DS has some long-sleeved 24m onesies from Carter's and they are HUGE on him.  On the other hand, he has a couple of 18-24 ones from Gap and they're already almost too small.
