I am very sick with the flu

Thank God it's the weekend so DH is home because I was basically bed-ridden all yesterday.  BUT DH let the kids watch TV for over an hour last night, left all of the dirty dishes on the counter (didn't empty dishwasher) and didn't pick up anything!  Aargh.  Now he's sleeping in and there is a huge mess to deal with.  These kids have a ton of energy and I'm wiped.  Luckily my mom is flying in today in case I don't feel better by tomorrow.  Anyone else have the sick SAHM blues?Crying Waaah!

    I feel for you. Being sick is the worst and in my house DH will barely watch DS nevermind do any chores. You're luck your mom is coming in! I'm sure that'll help things a lot.

    So sorry you are sick! Your DH sounds like a very selfish a-hole, I would not put up with it! He should be doing all the work AND making you stay in bed while he brings you soup/tea/etc. :*(

    Maybe her DH just doesn't get it? He might just do things differently and seriously not know what she wants done. My DH wouldn't do the dishes unless I told him it needed done. Also, an hour of tv is no big deal in the grand scheme of things.

    To the OP, I hope you feel better soon. Have your DH start using paper plates.

    My DH is the same way...he doesn't get it and I always have to tell him to clean up his own mess. Not in a "nagging" way but I've had to explain to him that even though "I was the one that made you dinner when you got home, that doesn't mean you leave your dishes and I have a sink full in the morning".  It's taking time...he's now cleaning up his breakfast dishes before he goes to work in the AM. My DH is the type that you have to tell him what you expect and if you need help. Maybe try telling him :)

    I hope you start feeling better and glad you are going to get some help. :)

    Me, too!  I was up all night long Saturday throwing up and laid up in bed or on the couch the rest of Sunday.... luckily, it was a weekend so DH took care of the kids and himself, but our house is a total wreck.  Oh, well, what can you do?...

    Yeah, what a selfish a-hole, I will divorce him!  Confused  (Ok, weirdo!)

    Life just sucks when you're sick!  And I think I have pneumonia, too.  My mom has been doing everything since she got here, thank God.  I am just too weak to take care of the kids.
